Rogachev. The building of the former zemstvo council.

The Zemstvo Council played an important role in managing local affairs and ensuring the social needs of the population. This building has become a symbol of administrative progress and social responsibility. Its architectural details, such as elegant balconies, stained glass windows and decorative elements (flat pilasters, curved pediment, arched and semicircular niches, rustication) make it unique and attractive to tourists and locals. The building has an asymmetrical composition. 

In Soviet times, the Palace of Labor was located here. Today, the building performs important functions in the cultural life of Rogachev. The district extracurricular activities center and the district library are located here, which allows it to remain a center of social activity and education. The library offers a variety of resources and programs for all ages, and the extracurricular Activities center promotes the development of talents and interests of children and youth.

On the eve of the Day of Belarusian Writing in Rogachev, restoration work took place in 2016.

Today, the building of the former zemstvo council is not only an architectural monument, but also continues to serve as an important social and cultural center for the residents of Rogachev.
