Memorial complex dedicated to Operation 'Bagration'.

In June 1944, the Soviet troops, using wet ropes, travois, rafts and gatiss, presented a surprise to the Nazis. Tanks, men, and artillery unexpectedly passed through impassable swamps for the enemy and caught the Germans by surprise, taking the German 'Center' groups in two main pincers. As a result of the offensive, not only the territory of Belarus was liberated, but a 900-kilometer gap was created between the German army groups "South" and "North". The road to Berlin began from the Belarusian marshes.

The operation took place from June 23 to August 29, 1944, ending in Poland. 4 million people, about 62,000 guns and mortars, more than 7,500 tanks, and over 7,100 aircraft participated in this battle on both sides. The battle unfolded on a front of 1,100 km. During Operation Bagration, 180,000 Soviet soldiers were killed and 600,000 wounded.

Now there is a memorial sign, a chapel, dugouts and trenches, and a museum at the site of the fighting. The sites are equipped with samples of military equipment and weapons. The exposition received the status of a branch of the Svetlogorsk Museum of Local Lore.

The height of the memorial sign made of red granite and bronze is 7 m. The granite base is made in the form of gates, along which Soviet tank armies advanced through the swamp. In the center of the bas-relief is a two-meter bronze sculptural group of four great commanders: Konstantin Rokossovsky, Georgy Zhukov, Pavel Batov, Mikhail Panov, as well as soldiers, partisans, and sailors of the Dnieper Flotilla who participated in the operation. Figures of advancing Soviet soldiers on the right and left . The two main strikes of the troops symbolize the arrows as a background. The monument is crowned with two bronze arrows depicting the direction of the main strikes of Operation 'Bagration' with the names of the cities liberated during the offensive. The author of the monument is architect Valery Kondratenko. When approaching the memorial, there is a diagram of the complex. To the right of the monument is a chapel, next to a tank and a self-propelled gun.

A dugout-like museum is located nearby. This is a room with an area of 50 m2. The exposition is small. There are weapons, objects and personal belongings of soldiers, as well as personal items belonging to the Nazis.

The role of Operation 'Bagration' in World War II was defined by the Fascist Wehrmacht as follows: "the defeat of the army 'Center' in Belarus meant a catastrophe that surpassed Stalingrad."
