Pribolovichi. Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.

The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in the period from 1794 to 1797 on the territory of the local cemetery.

In 1825, the temple was renovated and enlarged. A two-tiered bell tower and vestibule were added to the main volume from the west, and a tent-roofed turret with a crown was erected above the altar part. It was from this time that it became a separate Orthodox church in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. From 1885 to 1888, the parishioners repaired the church here, and in 1895 the church was painted with oil paints. According to the plan, the temple is trapezoidal. It is made of beams, covered with a three-pitched roof.

During the Great Patriotic War, the German occupiers used the temple as an ammunition depot. In December 1942, 47 villagers were burned down in a store building next to the church. Despite these tragic events, the Church of the Intercession has survived. She was also able to withstand the church persecution.

No worship services have been held there since 1967, and it was not until 1988 that the parish was re-registered here. In the same year, the church was completely renovated and painted.

Over time, the church has become a symbol of the spiritual life of the village of Pribolovichi and an important part of its historical heritage.

Today, the temple not only serves as a place for worship, but is also an important cultural and historical site that attracts the attention of both locals and tourists. Behind the temple there is an ancient stone cross, which is the object of Christian worship.
