Pralniki. Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
How to get to Volozhin from Minsk there is a small village Pralniki between Rakov and Ivenets. On the outskirts of the village there is a stone church in the cemetery, which was consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas.
The temple was built in 1805, some sources give the date 1850. At first it was the chapel-tomb of the Ratynskys in the cemetery, where Catholics and Orthodox are buried. The chapel belonged to Catholics, and then, apparently, after the anti–Russian uprising of 1863-1864, it was transferred to the Orthodox. During the time of the Polish state at the beginning of the 20th century, it was returned to Catholics. After the collapse of the USSR, Orthodox believers became the owners of the abandoned temple and repairs began, which have been underway for a long time.
The building was built of rubble stone and brick, as a chapel-tomb of the local Catholics of Ratynsky. The temple is built in the form of a rotunda with a massive blank wall, the thickness of which reaches one and a half meters. It was covered with a roof covered with shingles with a spire. The entrance to the temple is designed in the form of a four-column arcade with a triangular pediment. The interior looks like a single cylindrical volume, which is covered with a spherical dome. There are 4 niches for sculptures in the wall, which have not survived to our time. There is an altar with a four-column portico on a high pedestal. The altar was built using the Doric and Ionic architectural order. Above the altar is a triangular pediment with a bas-relief composition.
The old wooden doors with cast iron nails have been preserved. The restoration of the temple is underway.
