Porechye. Church of the Nativity of the Virgin.

In the Pinsk district, north of the city, there is a village of Porechye with several historical sites: the museum of the poetess Evgenia Yanishchits, the sugar factory and the park of the Skirmuntov estate, and much more. There is also a wooden church of the Nativity of the Virgin in the village.

Porechye was first mentioned in the 15th century. In the 17th century, the Terletskys and then the Oginskys ruled here. The last owners before 1939 were the Skirmunts.

In 1866, a wooden church was built in Porechye, which was destroyed by fire in 1907. The parishioners raised funds and in 1912 a new Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Virgin was built in the village. Despite the fact that the temple survived two world wars and the Soviet era, the shrine building was destroyed by fire in the early 2000s. The temple was rebuilt again by 2005.

During the restoration, the historical architectural layout and composition were preserved. The church consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. The basis of the temple's composition is a three–tiered log cabin, to which is attached a vestibule with a three-tiered bell tower, a refectory, side chapels and an apse. There is an icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker from the 19th century in the interior.
