Pokrashevo. Museum in the building of the former mill

The building of the former mill is a two-story structure that is quite well preserved. It has a simple appearance. The building does not contain any decorative elements, so it is impossible to attribute it to any architectural style. It is known that it was abandoned for quite a long time.

Today, thanks to the efforts of local residents, there is a Museum of Village Antiquities here. The director and workers of the Slutsk Vinegar Factory renovated the building at their own expense and also helped organize the museum by collecting exhibits from old-timers in neighboring villages.

In the museum you can get acquainted with the life of our ancestors, learn about the peculiarities of their work. Here we see such household items as a spindle with a distaff, splinters, cavities for flour, authentic stone millstones. The territory around the museum is well-kept: with flower beds, benches and a playground.

Next to the museum there is a picturesque pond and a water tower.

Opposite the museum, across the road from it, there is an important historical building from 1875. This is a group of buildings in the Art Nouveau style that attract attention. Previously, there was a distillery here, and now there is the Slutsk vinegar factory.

Another attraction of the village is the local spring, also equipped by the Slutsk vinegar factory. There is a font here where anyone can take a dip in the healing spring water.
