Pinsk. Monument to Pinchuk.

In the city of Pinsk, at the very beginning of the pedestrian street, guests are greeted by the owner of the local region, Pinchuk. This monument was erected several years ago and the image is collective from the inhabitants of the Polesie region.

A Pinsk resident gets to know you and arrogantly bends his finger on his hand and says: "First of all, I'm from Pinsk..."

In the old days, locals dressed like this used to come to Pinsk for the local famous fair on vases or on their boats. Take a closer look at his clothes, which were typical for the local people: a straw visor on his head, dressed in a homespun scroll with a braided belt and polished boots.

Pinchuk's appearance shows that he lives quite well and knows his own worth. And it is likely that this Pinchuk is of noble origin. After all, there were towns and villages in Polesie where up to half of the inhabitants were gentry. The locals called themselves Pinchans and were very proud of it.

Therefore, everyone who comes to Pinsk must come up to say hello to Pinchuk. After all, the monument has become one of the modern brands of the city. It is worth not only taking a picture with the monument, but also making a wish here.

The monument was created from bronze by sculptor Alexei Pavlyuchuk.
