Ozdamichi. Holy Trinity Church.
The village of Ozdamichi is located 70 kilometers east of the district city of Stolin. There are Neolithic and Bronze Age archaeological sites near the village on the Stviga River. The first written mention of the place dates back to 1509. During the period of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th and 18th centuries, Ozdamichi was part of the Pinsk district of the Brest Voivodeship. During the period of the Russian Empire in the Mozyr district of the Minsk province.
The Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity was built in the middle of the village. The exact time of the church's construction is unknown. According to the document, the Trinity Church dates back to the 16th century. In the 19th century, during the Russian Empire, several more villages were assigned to the church in Ozdamichi. In 1809, it is known from church documents that the temple had its own land. Until 1873, there was an old church, which was built on oak stilts. In the spring of 1874, they began to dismantle the old temple and at the same time laid a new shrine, which was consecrated in 1877.
After some time, a new church was erected in 1893, which has been preserved to this day. The church was built in a pseudo-Russian style with Art Nouveau elements. The temple is built of four parts: a vestibule, a refectory, a prayer hall and a five-sided apse with side sacristy. There is a bell tower above the vestibule. The interior features a three-tiered iconostasis and 19th-century icons, including "Saint Nicholas".
