Ovsemirovo. St. Michael's Church.

There is a small town called Ovsemirovo in Stolinsky district. It's not easy to get there, because the paths there do not lie along large modern highways, but through forests and small villages. From the Pinsk – Stolin highway, you can get here through the village of Kolodnoye, or through Radchitsk.

Ovsemirovo was first mentioned in historical documents in the 16th century during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In those days, it was surrounded by swampy land, and now there is a whole network of reclamation canals around Ovsemirovo.

There is a wooden church in honor of St. Michael the Archangel at the local cemetery in Ovsemirovo. It is not known exactly when the temple was erected. According to some sources, the church has been built since the 18th century, since the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and according to other sources since the beginning of the 19th century.

In 1868, the temple building was rebuilt and a new iconostasis was installed at that time, which was helped by deacon Stribuzhinsky. The church was consecrated again in July 1868. The church is small, and therefore it is assigned to the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Radchitsk. By the way, if you go to the Pinsk-Stolin highway through Radchitsk, then there you will have the opportunity to see a stone church of the 19th century.

The church in Ovsemirovo is a monument of folk wooden architecture. It consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse.
