Olmany. Church of the Resurrection of Christ.
In Stolinsky district there is a place called Olmany, 20 kilometers east of the district center. Nearby is the Olmany Marshes landscape reserve.
The town of Olmany itself is quite large and a wooden church of the Resurrection of Christ has been built in the middle of the village. The foundation of the church was laid in 1888 and the construction took five years. The new church was consecrated in 1903 on the third day of Easter, from which they say the name of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ came.
The temple was built according to ancient Orthodox canons, as some believers interpret it, like a church on a ship carrying a human soul on the waves of life, and the Church should help save the sinful soul of a believer.
The temple consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. A three-tiered bell tower is built above the vestibule: a four-by-four. The bell tower is completed with a high faceted spire. The main volume is covered by a four-pitched roof, which is completed with a multi-faceted two-tiered drum with a small dome. The roof was first covered with wood chips, and in the 1970s with tin.
The interior has a two-tiered iconostasis. There are icons from the 19th and 20th centuries. After the collapse of the USSR, the church was renovated. In 2010, the parishioners collected donations and the building was heated. In recent years, the territory near the church has been landscaped.
