Novogrudok. Shopping malls.

In the historical center of Novogrudok, shopping malls have partially been preserved on the former Shopping Square. The malls were built in the early 19th century in the classical style in 1812. It is believed that the malls were built according to a standard design, which were developed in St. Petersburg.

Most of the buildings of the shopping malls were located directly on the former Shopping Square - this is now Lenin Square. The shopping area was formed during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and there was a town hall, shopping malls and houses of merchants and burghers, the Radziwill Palace. The building of the shopping area has been partially preserved and one of the authentic ancient buildings is one of the buildings of the shopping malls.

After the Great Patriotic War in 1953, it was decided to adapt the building for a store. The restoration and interior redevelopment of the building was carried out: the roof structure was lowered, and the colonnade was covered with decorative ceramic tiles.

The building of the shopping malls has an elongated trapezoid in plan. The monument is covered with a gable roof with a triangular pediment at the ends. The main southern facade facing Minskaya Street has rectangular window openings. A passage gallery with Doric Order columns has been created along the main facade. Inside the premises there is a sales hall and storage rooms.
