Nestanishki. The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

There is a stone church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the town of Nestanishki, Smorgon district. In the 15th century, during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the first church was built with the money of Bogdan Andrushkovich. During the Reformation, the church fell into an abandoned state, but in 1609, according to historical sources, the local population returned to the Catholic faith, and Father Wojciech Kulczynski from the neighboring town of Svir played a major role in this.

In the middle of the 17th century, during the war between the tsarstvo of Moscow and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the church was destroyed. In 1668, the church was rebuilt. In 1746, a new church building was erected thanks to the efforts of Father Pavel Yedlinsky. Patrons Maximilian and Anastasia Rosenfeld donated funds to the side altar of God's care. Father Peter Anthony Kurchevsky carried out the reconstruction of the church in 1797. In 1846, the building was renovated.

The famous Belarusian historian and archaeologist Adam Kirkor (1818-1886) visited the town of Nestanishki and watched the church feast of St. Isidore, who was considered the patron saint of peasants. The celebration was held on the initiative of the priest. Prince Tadeusz Puzyna was among the guests.

In 1905-1911, a new church was built in the Neo-Gothic style. The temple was built on a hill near the forest. There is a stone fence around the temple.
