Narovlyansky Historical and Ethnographic Museum.

The Narovlyansky Historical and Ethnographic Museum, at the same time a research and educational center, is housed in a wooden mansion, which is an example of wooden architecture of the late 19th century.

The museum was established in 1991 on the basis of the public museum at the House of Pioneers and opened to the public in 1995. In 1996, it was named an ethnographic museum. The museum building is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Belarus.

The museum's collection includes more than 3,000 exhibits, including tools for weaving, fishing and cooperage, products made of birch bark, vines and bast, as well as ornate towels and bedspreads. It also houses a collection of icons, psalms, biographies and songbooks. The museum provides information about lost and active temples.

The museum has 6 permanent and 5 temporary exhibitions spread over an area of 220 m2. Several halls are available to visitors.

In the first hall there is an exhibition "My Narovlyanshchina", assembled from exhibits of historical value, as well as paintings by Yuri Fisyuk. The museum also exhibits paintings by V. Shmatov - "The Black Past" and "The Black Tree".

In the second hall, collections of icons, objects of weaving, as well as ancient editions of the Psalter and biographies are on display. Of particular interest are folk songbooks collected at different times. Visitors will be told a lot of interesting information about the temple complexes.

There is a separate room for dishes, in which wooden, clay and birch bark dishes are presented. Many samples were found during archaeological finds. Do not pass by the peasant farmstead on display, where many peasant implements and fishing implements are on display.

The staff of the Narovlyansky Museum continues their research work, turning the exhibition halls into an educational center. The museum offers a variety of excursions and scientific programs. The exhibition hall features works by local artists and masters of decorative and applied arts.
