The Church of St. Nicholas in Naroshi is an architectural monument in the pseudo-Russian style.
The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Naroshi, built in the late 19th century, is an excellent example of the retrospective Russian style.
The architectural composition of the temple includes a tent-roofed bell tower, a babynets, the main volume and an altar apse, decorated with plastered elements typical of this style. The combination of these elements with the rubble stone of the walls gives the church a picturesque appearance.
This temple is a striking example of Orthodox architecture of the second half of the 19th century. It has a historical and cultural value of the third category, emphasizing its importance as an object of cultural heritage.
During the period of persecution, the temple remained open and was not desecrated. Divine services were performed continuously in it.
Currently, the number of parishioners living in the surrounding villages has decreased significantly, which has led to rare services.
Today, the maintenance of the church in proper condition and its improvement have become a serious problem and an important task for the parish.
