Lyaskovichi. Pripyat National Park

The territory of the park has gradually increased, and today its area is approximately 88,600 hectares. To contact the administration of this park, you need to visit a city called Turov.

The main part of the park is covered with dense forests, but there are also places where cranberries grow, as well as reservoirs occupying about 500 hectares of the total area of the park. Here, the fauna is represented by a variety of animals, and the flora will surprise even the most experienced connoisseurs of nature.

In the middle of 1987, bison were moved here, and they still live here. Not far from the park, you can see the territory of the Polessky State Radiation and Ecological Reserve.

A special pleasure, incomparable, can be obtained by sailing on a motorboat along the tributaries of the Pripyat River. In spring, this area is heavily swampy, and the width of the river reaches an impressive 30 kilometers, which looks incredibly beautiful.

The Pripyatsky National Park is a real paradise for anglers. Fish species such as bream, pike, roach, ide, tench, perch and rudd live here, and catfish hide in quiet pools. Many photos of Belarusian fishermen with trophies — huge catfish reaching human height and more — were taken here.

As for the tourist infrastructure, there are many places for every taste and budget where you can stay. Hunters prefer the Nad Pripyat hotel complex in Lyaskovichi, where there is a sauna, a swimming pool, billiards and even a bowling alley. The on-site restaurant serves game dishes. And birdwatchers, who value maximum privacy and silence, choose the Doroshevichi tourist complex on the banks of the Pripyat.

This place is very popular among ornithologists, who come here from all over the world in spring and autumn to observe the migration of birds. It is believed that there are very few such pristine corners of nature in Europe. Such crystal clear air can be found only in the mountains and in the Pripyatsky National Park.

A unique natural phenomenon and a unique opportunity to carry out an exciting spring tourist route.

The tour of the Herodotus Sea is one of the most fascinating spring tourist routes in Belarus. The ways of traveling change every year and depend on the degree of flooding of Pripyat: somewhere you will be able to get on foot, somewhere you can travel only by off-road vehicles, and somewhere you will have to move only along the river. The route usually passes through willow forest, floodplain meadows, ancient lakes, flooded oaks and century-old willows.   Along the way, you can meet a lot of spring migratory birds, beaver huts, get acquainted with their way of life and life. Geographically, the Herodotus Sea is located in the Pripyat National Park, partly it is the Olmansky marshes.

The Pripyat River flows through several countries, mainly Belarus and Ukraine, and is one of the largest rivers in Europe. It is famous for its unique ecosystem, home to rare species of flora and fauna. During the flood, the water covers vast areas of the floodplain, which creates ideal conditions for spawning fish and other aquatic organisms. This affects the biodiversity of the region and is an important component of the ecosystem.

The name "sea of Herodotus" is associated with the ancient Greek historian Herodotus, who in his writings mentioned the importance of rivers for local settlements and the economy. The Pripyat floods played a key role in the lives of local residents, as they provided access to fishing, irrigation of agricultural land and transportation.

Seasonal flooding plays an important role in the region's economy. During the spill, new opportunities for fishing and fishing are created, as well as the groundwater level increases, which affects agriculture. However, spills also carry certain risks, including flooding of housing and agricultural land.

The seasonal flooding of the Pripyat River or "Herodotus Sea" is a unique natural phenomenon that is important both for the ecosystem and for the local population. Despite the risks associated with flooding, this phenomenon, thanks to the existing unique tour of the Pripyat River floods, makes it possible to strengthen the connection between nature and man.
