Nacha. The Church of Ascension of the Virgin Mary.

The Church of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary in Nacha is considered one of the most striking examples of Neo-Gothic with elements of Romanesque style. It was built in 1910 and consecrated in 1927.

The church stands out for its tall spires, stained glass windows and typical Neo-Gothic elements such as arches and columns. Its main facade is especially impressive, decorated with a rose window and a small statue of the Virgin Mary, as well as two tall towers crowned with pointed spires. Travelers will see them a kilometer before the entrance to the village.

The interior of the church includes beautiful altarpieces and statues of saints, which makes it attractive to pilgrims and tourists.  The interior of the temple itself is decorated with frescoes and carved altars, which are also designed in the Neo-Gothic style.

Famous historian, archaeologist, ethnographer, local historian and military engineer Theodor Narbut, as well as Doctor of theology Stanislav Yundil are buried near the church. There is also a memorial stone to the participants of the uprising of 1863 on the territory.

The church was able to survive during the war years. During the Soviet years, he continued to be active. This allowed it to retain its authentic feature.

Today the church is in perfect restored condition. It is majestic and grandiose. Tourists and travelers will be interested to see this landmark. The bell tower, built in the second half of the 19th century, has also been preserved here.
