Myadel. Church of Our Lady of the Scapular.

The small town of Myadel is considered the capital of the Narochansky district. In the center of the city, a Catholic church of the 18th century has been preserved. The Church of the Scapular Mother of God was built in 1754. The temple was built with the donations of Antoniy Koshchits, who was later buried in a crypt in the ancient Slutsk belt. In addition to the church, a monastery and plebania were also built, where Catholic priests lived. Discalced Carmelite monks lived at the temple - this is a Catholic order that arose in the 12th century.

The church is built of brick in the late Baroque style, and the interior is decorated in the Rococo style. There was a library at the monastery. For some time, the church was a Uniate temple. And during the Russian Empire, it was given to Orthodox believers. During the Polish era, the church was returned to the Catholics again. During the war, the monastery building burned down. During the Soviet years, the church was closed and returned to believers only in 1989. In 1982, archaeological excavations were carried out near the church.

The temple is built in the form of an octagon on a quadrangle, and is topped with a massive dome. The church has some features of the Vilnius Baroque. The interior is made in the Rococo style and is painted with frescoes, only fragments have survived to this day.

On the right side, near the church, there is an old building of a two-story brick parish house (plebania). After restoration, the church is active. Next to the church is the city park and Lake Myastro.
