Description

The village of Murovana is known for the fact that the remains of the Yundzil's – Soltan's estate have been preserved here. The two-storey stone palace began to be built by the Yundzils in the 18th century, and the Soltans were already completing it. The building was built in the classical style. The bas-relief of the owners' coat of arms has been preserved on the pediment. An oak alley leads to the palace. There are farm buildings and a mill nearby. There is a pond on the outskirts of the estate.

The building has survived two devastating wars of the last century. After all the vicissitudes, the building was nationalized. It was decided to place the Lyceum of the processing industry in the building, which was located within the walls of the palace until 1975. Since then, the building has been deserted and is currently a ruin.

Murovana. The Soltan's Estate.

The small village of Murovana, in the Berestovitsky district, may be of interest to history lovers with the Soltan's estate. Throughout its history, the town of Murovana has changed many of its owners: Volovichi, Bonera, Yundzils and Soltans.

A two-storey stone Soltan palace has been preserved in the center of Murovana. Tadeusz Yundzil began to build the palace in the middle of the 18th century. The construction was completed only in the 19th century by Tadeusz's son Francis. The building was built in the classical style and was originally U-shaped in plan. The balcony with a balustrade was held by an arched portico, in front of which there was a round lawn with inserts of flower beds. Also, a terrace was attached to the building from the garden side, the steps of which led to a park of several hectares. The park consisted of three alleys that ended on the shore of a large pond with a highlight – an island located right in the center.

Tadeusz Yundzil's great-granddaughter Maria married Stanislav Soltan. Under the Soltans, the palace was rebuilt. The side wings were demolished, and the coats of arms of all the owners of the estate were installed on the pediment: Yundzils, Bruzhinskys and Soltans. The frieze in the palace was decorated with bas-reliefs on antique themes: a wreath, a Roman helmet and a Zeus lightning bolt. Surprisingly, the bas-reliefs have survived to the present day.

The last owner of the estate was Stanislav Soltan's grandson Georgy, and during the war in 1939 he went abroad. After the war, the palace housed an educational institution. In recent decades, the building has fallen into disrepair.

Until our time, the palace, a pond with a park and outbuildings remained from the estate.
