The building of JSC "Mozyrpivo".

The history of this company dates back to 1884. It was then that merchant Moisey Shenderov Alexandrov petitioned the city Duma to allow him to build a brewery in his two-story house, which was located on the Kiev embankment. The construction of the brovar was completed in 1885. This building is an excellent example of Neo-Gothic architecture. It is known that the second floor of the building was added after the war.

In 1911, Pavitsky became the owner of the factory, which began bottling beer in branded bottles supplied from St. Petersburg. Pavitsky employed four hired workers who were engaged in all stages of production, including the procurement of raw materials and bottling of the drink.

After the 1917 revolution, the plant temporarily suspended beer production, switching to salting fish for the needs of the Red Army. Later, the plant passed into the hands of private individuals, who expanded the staff of workers. By 1925, they were producing more than fifty buckets of beer, offering three varieties: Bavarian, Pilsen, and Margov.

In the late 1920s, the Mozyr Brewery became a state-owned enterprise and was modernized.

During the Great Patriotic War, the factory building was partially destroyed. After the end of the war, the city authorities restored and reconstructed the enterprise, where they began to produce famous beers such as Rizhskoye, Zhigulevskoye, Velvety, Belorusskoye, Ukrainskoye, as well as 10 types of soft drinks.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the plant continued to produce beer, adding other varieties to the assortment.

On December 14, 1999, the Mozyr Brewery became part of the Belarusian-Russian company Mozyrpivo-RT, and in 2001 it was transformed into JSC Mozyrpivo. Until 2002, the plant produced a wide range of beers. In 2004, the Mozyr Brewery stopped producing beer.

In 2014, the picturesque walls of the factory served as a location for filming a military drama created by a Russian film studio.

Currently, the company is focused on the production of low-alcohol beverages, including kvass, sbiten and mead, which are successfully exported. There is a pavilion named "Kimborovka" on its territory, where you can taste freshly prepared drinks. Today, tourists can explore the factory's territory as part of a guided tour.
