Molodovo. Resurrection Church.
In the very center of the town of Molodovo at the crossroads of roads, there is an ancient Resurrection Church. The temple is wooden, built in the 18th century, as a Uniate church. The church had two multi-tiered towers on the main facade and was covered with a hip roof. In 1864, the artist and composer Napoleon Orda (1807-1883) visited Molodovo, who made an image of the ancient architecture of the church.
The building was rebuilt in the 19th century. In 1894, 3,000 rubles were donated for the reconstruction and repair of the church according to the testament of P. Medyntseva.
The church is a monument of Belarusian folk architecture. The prayer hall, the main volume is a rectangular log house to which a five-sided apse is attached. Near the apse there are low sacristy, sheltered by a common shingle roof. In the 19th century, a two-tiered bell tower was attached to the church: an octagon for a toy. There are lancet window openings in the walls of the temple.
The bell tower of the church has one of the oldest bells in Belarus, cast in 1583 by the master of Kaunas Martin Hoffmann. The bell was created at the expense of Mstislavsky castellan Simon Voina, who at that time owned an estate in Molodovo. The bell has an image of the coat of arms of Voinas.
