The railway station is the heart of the city and its living history.

The railway station in Molodechno is not just a transport hub, but a living history. Since the end of the 19th century, when the first trains connected Molodechno with Minsk, Vilnius, Grodno and Polotsk, the station has become a powerful center of attraction around which the city grew and developed. The railway station has become a key logistical and cultural point in the region.

In January 1873, regular operation of the Minsk-Vilnius railway section began, and in the same year Molodechno station received its first passengers and cargo. After the merger with the Libava Railway in 1876, the Libava-Romenskaya Railway was formed, which opened up new directions.

The first station building was located near the current one, on the island platform. With the advent of the new railway line at the beginning of the 20th century, there was a need for a more spacious and modern station.

In 1906, the building that we see today was built – an elegant one-story Art Nouveau building with an elongated silhouette, smooth lines and large windows.

The station survived the hard times of the Second World War, but was restored in 1947. In 1953, a wooden suburban ticket office building was added to it, and in 1965, major repairs were carried out. In the 1970s, brick buildings were built for the luggage compartment and ticket offices. The era of digitalization began in the 1990s. By 2008, the station was equipped with modern technologies.

The station building is still designed in the Art Nouveau style with its characteristic smooth lines and grace. The convenient location in the city center makes it a kind of border between the old and new parts of Molodechno. It is impossible not to mention the bronze sculpture of a student with a suitcase and a kitten on the platform – a symbol of warmth and comfort, which has become a popular place for photographs.
