Mogilev. Moscow Bank Building

During the tour along the pedestrian street in the city of Mogilev, you will see the bank building with a rather unusual architecture: the facade is built of yellow brick, and the rest of the building is made of red. This is the building of the former Moscow International Trade Bank, which was built in 1904-1906 according to the design of Mogilev architect Pyotr Georgievich Kamburov. And there has always been a bank here at any time and the premises have never been transferred to any institutions. Bankers and financiers have always been the masters here. Even during the Nazi occupation, a German bank had been operating here since the autumn of 1941.

The building is made of stone, symmetrical and rectangular in plan, two-storeyed with a basement. The main facade, which is built of red brick, is highlighted by a risalite with high arched windows on the second floor. The arches of the floor are decorated with Corinthian pilasters located between the windows. The first floor of the bank is decorated with rustics with rectangular windows.

At first, the main entrance to the building was in the left wing and was decorated in the form of a portal with Corinthian pilasters with a triangular pediment. There was an iron canopy with wrought iron brackets above the entrance. The entire territory of the bank was surrounded by a stone fence.

The building has been renovated in recent years. It has the status of an architectural monument.
