The Museum of the History of the city of Mogilev is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the past of the region.

The halls with the museum's exhibits are located on two floors of the Town Hall. They cover various periods of Mogilev's history, from antiquity to the present. Visitors can see archaeological finds, paintings, documents and household items reflecting the culture and traditions of local residents.

On the ground floor in the archaeology hall there are artifacts telling about the history of the city since ancient times, a model of Mogilev in the second half of the 17th century. The other two halls feature exhibits on the history of Mogilev from the time of Magdeburg law, the period of the late 18th and early 20th centuries.

On the second floor there is a conference room with portraits of prominent figures in the history of Mogilev region, as well as a Voitovsky hall with a reconstruction of the meeting of the Mogilev magistrate.

Among the rarities here you can see jewelry from the 10th to 12th centuries, knight's armor from the late 15th century, coins from the time of the Incl., as well as a liturgical cover decorated with Slutsk belts. The only original copy of the Statute of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania of 1588 in the Republic of Belarus is kept here, purchased at the expense of private donations from citizens and thanks to sponsorship. The publications of Mogilev printers of the 17th and 18th centuries are also presented.

Tourists can climb the tower of the Town Hall, where they can take pictures with the mechanical musician Mogislav and admire the views of the city from a bird's-eye view through panoramic binoculars.

The museum is actively engaged in educational activities. Lectures, workshops and excursions are held for schoolchildren and students, which allows the younger generation to learn more about their history and culture.

The Museum of the History of Mogilev is an important part of the cultural life of the city. He not only preserves the memory of the past, but also actively participates in fostering a love of history and culture among local residents and visitors of the city. To visit this museum means to take a step into the past and get acquainted with the unique history of Mogilev.
