Mironim. Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior.
In the village of Mironim, Ivatsevichi district, there is a stone Orthodox church, which was consecrated as the Transfiguration of the Savior. There used to be a wooden church on the site of the stone temple, which was built during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1752.
The new church was built in 1869 according to the design of architect G. Meyer. The project was developed in 1865. The construction was financed by the Holy Synod, and parishioners also raised funds. A stone fence and gate were built in 1894 with donations from parishioners.
During the First World War, the building was renovated in 1915. During the Great Patriotic War, the church was closed. The building was destroyed by fire in 1985. In 1989, it was handed over to Orthodox believers and repairs were carried out.
The temple was built on a hill and is visible from afar. It was built in the retrospective Russian style of brick and rubble stone. It consists of four main canonical parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. A three-tiered bell tower has been erected above the vestibule.
The interior has a communal layout. There is a three-tiered wooden iconostasis, which was designed in the 19th century by architect Kryzhanovsky. The territory of the church is fenced with a stone fence. Repairs have been carried out in recent years.
