An interesting museum that covers various periods of the country's rich history.

The history of the museum begins in 1957, when it was decided to create an institution that will contain many historical artifacts and objects reflecting the development of the Belarusian people. Since then, the museum has continued to expand and update its exhibitions.

The architecture of the building housing the museum is also noteworthy. It was built in the style typical of the mid-20th century - neoclassicism, and attracts the eye with its impressive facade and elegant lines. Inside the museum, visitors are greeted by spacious and comfortably decorated halls, inside which thousands of exhibits telling about the centuries-old history of Belarus are placed.

In the museum collections you can see ancient Russian artifacts, medieval objects, as well as things related to more modern periods, including the times of the Great Patriotic War and post-war reconstruction. It will be interesting to look at archaeological finds, ancient historical documents, works of art, ethnographic collections, European maps, folk costumes and household items reflecting the life and way of life of the Belarusian people.

One of the most interesting parts of the museum is an exhibition dedicated to the era of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Visitors can learn about the importance of these historical states, their contribution to the culture and politics of Eastern Europe.

The museum also focuses on the periods when Belarus was part of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union.

Exhibitions, lectures, workshops and cultural events are regularly held here, which attract many guests.

The museum actively cooperates with educational institutions, offering special programs for schoolchildren and students.
