The entertaining iron museum is the only one of its kind in Belarus.

The museum features more than 700 different irons from all over the globe and different eras, ranging from ancient models made of stone and metal to modern electric irons. Each exhibit has its own history and context, which makes visiting the museum informative. In the exhibition space, you can find such things that are amazing in shape, carving and casting and which, at first glance, cannot be mistaken for an iron. Steam, gas, and alcohol irons are presented here.

In a place of honor is a tiny paraffin iron, from which the collection began. Also here you can get acquainted with the first charcoal brazier iron from China 2000 BC, which was originally used as an instrument of torture and only after 1,000 years it began to be used for its intended purpose. Here, such masterpieces as Renaissance irons: household items appear to us as works of art. We also have the opportunity to see the "slave" iron that slaves ironed in America. There are also fluders for pleating at the beginning of the 20th century, which created perfect waves on the fabric; radius irons to iron out the bends on hats; corrugators for ironing starched collars. In the form of a steel sword, an electric tie iron appears before us. We see how the progenitors of curling irons looked like. And there are many other interesting things here, just can not be counted.

Visitors can not only observe the exhibits, but also participate in interactive exhibitions where they can try to iron fabrics using various models. The museum tells visitors about the technology of ironing, as well as how irons have changed over time.

The Iron Museum is not only an interesting place to visit, but also an opportunity to learn more about the life and culture of different eras.
