Minsk. Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood.
A brand new museum, the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood, is operating in Minsk at 38 K. Marx Street. The building in which the museum is located is also unusual. During the time of Soviet Belarus, this house was the most important administrative building in the BSSR. The leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Soviet Belarus worked in the building. The house was built in several stages from 1939 to 1986. First, the main building was erected, and then two wings were completed.
The Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus is currently working in the building facing K. Marx Street. And the building, which is located on Kirova Street, houses the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood.
The museum is new, it was opened in 2012. The museum is part of the National Historical Museum. The museum's exposition tells about the modern period of the history of the independent Republic of Belarus, starting in 1990. It tells about the political, economic, cultural and scientific life of the country. To date, the museum has 4,000 exhibits, and 800 are on display.
The exhibition is located in 6 halls, which tells about the modern achievements of our country. The exhibition presents models of architectural monuments that have been restored in recent years, documents and video materials from the period of the formation of the modern Belarusian statehood.
