A monumental and iconic building of the city, an important part of the cultural heritage.

The post office was built between 1949 and 1953.  Such architectural forms of the facade of the building as a high attic, columns of the Corinthian order, a massive arch of the entrance resemble a Baroque palace Palazzo Poli 16th century in Rome.

The project of the main post office building was developed by architects Vladimir Korol and Abram Dukhan, who sought to create a functional, but at the same time impressive structure. The building has several characteristic elements: massive columns, tall windows and an abundance of decorative details that emphasize its status.

The main post Office has always played an important role in the life of the city. Since its opening, it has become a postal service center for Minsk and its environs, providing communication and delivery of correspondence. Over time, the post office has adapted to changes in technology, but its main function remains unchanged — it is an important communication hub where residents can send and receive letters, parcels and other mail.

Today, the building of the Main Post Office continues to function and retains its importance in the life of the city. In addition to traditional postal services, modern services such as parcel tracking and electronic services can also be found here.

The architectural value of the building makes it one of the sights of Minsk that tourists should visit. This is a very beautiful historical building both outside and inside!

Inside, the main post office looks unusual, like a museum. The hall is decorated with white marble and stucco. The main decoration of the hall is 15 stained glass windows dedicated to the monuments of Belarusian architecture of the 11th - 17th centuries. Among them are such pearls as Grodno Boriso-Gleb Church, Polotsk St. Sophia Cathedral, Kamenetskaya Vezha, the town hall in Nesvizh and others. Thanks to these stained glass windows, tourists can take a virtual mini-tour of the whole of Belarus in a few minutes.

There is a sign in the central hall of the post office indicating the distance to the cities of Belarus and Europe. The most accurate clock in Minsk is located here - the "clock of the world", which shows the time in many cities of the planet. Visitors can buy small souvenirs here or send a postcard to friends.

The Main Post Office in Minsk is a monumental and iconic building of the city. It can be said that this is one of the symbols of the city, an important part of the cultural heritage. Its majestic architecture and history create a unique atmosphere reflecting the spirit of the times and the transformations the city has gone through.
