Minsk. Kozina house.

In the city of Minsk, near the railway station on the corner of Mikhailovsky Square, there is a beautiful four-story red brick building - the Kozina House. The building was built in the late 19th century in an eclectic style.

Hieronymus Knop built the house as an apartment building in the 1890s. In those days, the address was called like this: "the corner of Peterburgsky Lane and Mikhailovskaya Street, the apartment building of Elena Semenovna Kozina."

During the First Russian Revolution, this building played a significant role during the suppression and dispersal of demonstrations. In 1905, machine guns were installed in the house, which were used to shoot demonstrations coming from the Forecourt. These tragic events are known in history as the Kurlov massacre.

After some time, Eismont became the owner of the building. Since 1913, the private Alekseevskaya Gymnasium for women, owned by Elizabeth Dmitrievna Reyman, has been operating in the building.

During this period, the fourth floor was added, and the interiors and layout of the building were changed. The office of the fourth police station of Minsk also worked in the house.

After the revolution, the Alexander Chervyakov Railway School began operating in the building. After the war, school No. 101, then a pedagogical college.

The Court of the Eurasian Economic Society is currently operating in the building.
