Mikhnevichi. The Intercession Church.

In the village of Mikhnevichi, Smorgon district, on the way from Smorgon to the Oginsky estate in Zalesye, there is a stone Orthodox church. The church was consecrated in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.

The monument was erected on the outskirts of the village at the local cemetery during the time of the Russian Empire in 1866. There were two parish churches attached to the church.

The temple was built in the retrospective Russian style of rubble stone, and was created according to a standard design. It consists of four main architectural parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. An eight-by-four bell tower is built over the vestibule. The main volume is covered by a four–pitched roof, on top of which there is a multifaceted drum and an onion dome. A semicircular apse is attached to the main volume. A stone fence has been erected around the temple. The church has been renovated in recent years. The temple is functioning.

In the cemetery near the church there is the grave of Colonel Akaki Gavrilovich Athmezura, a participant in the First World War of the 14th Georgian Grenadier Regiment. The colonel died during an enemy attack on the positions of his regiment.

There are ancient burials in the cemetery.
