Krichev chalk quarries.

The Krichev chalk quarries, like many others in Belarus, arose as a result of human activity, namely, as a result of the development of chalk deposits for the needs of the cement-slate combine. These quarries are located just five kilometers from the city of Krichev.

Interestingly, religious stories and legends are associated with the Krichev quarries. One of the tourists saw the outline of the face of the Virgin Mary on the slope of the quarry, which quickly spread among people and attracted pilgrims from all over the country.

Access to the chalk pits is limited. Unlike the equipped beaches, the Krichev quarries do not meet the safety requirements. This is due to the steep slopes, which are not fortified and therefore you need to be careful near the water. Only a few places have gentle slopes where tourists can gather.

There is a ban on bathing here. Heavy fines are provided for violating this rule.

You should visit this place very, very carefully, being aware of the risks, in order to admire this beauty and take a photo.

To find quarries, it is better to use the navigator, as they are located in dense thickets, which makes it difficult to access by transport.

Discover Belarus from a new perspective and appreciate the richness of its nature!
