Mozheikovo. The Romers Estate.
Along the Lida Shchuchin highway in the Grodno region there is a noble estate of Romers in the town of Mozheikovo (formerly Maloe Mozheikovo), which has been known since the 16th century. At the end of the 18th century, Mozheikovo was acquired by representatives of the Kostrovitsky family, who built a palace with outbuildings here. Romuald Kostrovitsky's daughter Kazimir married Pan Alexander Brachotsky and inherited the estate. According to some historical sources, Kazimira's mother was Emilia Romer, or Romer was perhaps her first husband. The last owner of the estate on the eve of the war was Andrei Brakhotsky, this is Alexander's grandson.
At the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, a significant household yard was built of stone buildings. The manor changed its appearance, was completed and acquired its final appearance by the beginning of the 20th century under Alexander Brachotsky.
After the Great Patriotic War, there was a club and a state farm management in the palace. To date, the building has been renovated and the local village council is located here.
The palace is a one-story rectangular building in plan, built in the classical style. The central part of the palace has two floors and is decorated with a portico with 4 Doric columns. There are several outbuildings nearby, including a two-storey outbuilding, a one-storey stable and an oil mill. There is also a 5-hectare park and a lake with a canal.
