Malech. St. Simeon Stylites Church.
In the village of Malech, Bereza district, there is a stone Orthodox church in the center of the settlement.
The place was first mentioned in documents during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th century, and at that time the first church was built here.
The current temple was built in 1887 according to the design of 1880 by the architect from Russia Peter Zolotarev. The monument was erected in the eclectic style of the Synodal direction and has an elongated axial composition.
The building consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. An octagonal bell tower is built over the vestibule: an octagon on a quad.
An octagonal drum rises above the main volume, which is completed by an onion dome.
The interior features a wooden iconostasis and ancient icons from the 17th – 19th centuries. The iconostasis houses the 17th–century icon of "Simeon Stylites", the 18th - 19th–century icons of "Pokrova", "Nicholas the Wonderworker", "St. Peter and Paul", "Three Saints", "The Last Supper", "Natalia and Alexei - people of God" and others.
The church has been renovated in recent years. A stone gates was erected in front of the temple.
