The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Malakhovtsy is a vivid example of folk architecture.

The building of this temple is a single-frame building under a four-pitched roof, with rectangular extensions of the apse and sacristy, as well as a vestibule. The building is lined with brick, and there are buttresses at the back.

The roof is topped with a four-sided tent drum. The side facades have rectangular windows in arched architraves and are reinforced with buttresses. Inside, at the entrance, a side staircase leads to the choir. The apse is highlighted by an iconostasis.

By the 90th anniversary of the temple, major repairs were completed and a three-tiered bell tower was erected, on which seven new bells were raised.

In November 2024, a solemn celebration of the 100th anniversary of the consecration took place in the church. This event became a real celebration: from the very morning, the church, elegantly decorated with flowers, gladly welcomed parishioners and guests!

Having gone through a long path of trials and achievements, today the church remains a symbol of faith, peace and Christian values. This legacy serves as a moral guideline and an important part of historical memory.

This temple is often attributed to the village of Yastrembel.
