Ludvinovo. Memorial stone in honor of Eliza Ozheshko.

A few kilometers south of the district center of Drogichin there is a small village of Ludvinovo, where there was once a manor of the Ozheshko family. The village has belonged to Ozheshko family from the times of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania since the 17th century. In those days it was the Brest voivodeship, and in the days of the Russian Empire the Grodno province.

At the beginning of the 19th century, Felix Ozheshko owned Ludvinovo's estate, and then his son Pyotr. In 1858, the writer Eliza Ozheshko married Pyotr Ozheshko and began living in Ludvinovo. Here she created a school for village children and took part in the debates of the zemstvo committees. The debates discussed methods and forms of economic reforms on earth.

During the uprising of 1863-1864, E. Ozheshko helped the rebels and in May – June 1863 hid General Romuald Traugutt (1826-1864), one of the leaders of the uprising. In the autumn of 1863, Pyotr Ozheshko was arrested and exiled to Perm province.

In 1867, Ludvinovo's estate was sold and Pavel Kontorov became the new owner. The new owners built a large brewery and other outbuildings. The palace was dismantled after the Great Patriotic War. Until our time, several outbuildings remained from the estate. A memorial plaque in honor of Eliza Ozheshko (1841-1910) has been erected in the Ludvinovo center.
