The Church of St. Michael the Archangel is a striking example of Belarusian wooden architecture.
The first mention of the Lyaskovichi dates back to the 16th century, but the history of St. Michael's Church begins in 1879. Until 1930, the church served believers, but during the Soviet era it was closed and fell into disrepair. It was only in 1993 that a decision was made to build a new church on the old foundation.
Consecrated in February 1993 by Bishop Peter of Turov and Mozyr, the new church was built at the expense of the Pripyatsky National Park and is considered part of it.
St. Michael's Church is a striking example of Belarusian wooden architecture, attracting attention with its beauty and harmony. It is the decoration of the village.
A special value of the temple is the rare icon of the Mother of God "Worthy to be", which is an authentic copy of the Athos shrine. The icon depicts the Virgin and child Jesus holding a scroll with a prophecy.
Today, St. Michael's Church is a place of attraction for locals and pilgrims seeking spiritual support and solace. The temple is also included in the program of visiting the Pripyatsky National Park, introducing tourists to the history and culture of this unique region.
