Lyakhovichi. Church of the Nativity of the Virgin.

In the Drogichin district there is a place called Lyakhovichi with an Orthodox church. The church was built during the Russian Empire in 1883 on the site of an old church. For the first time, the village of Lyakhovichi is found in historical sources in the 15th century during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

The monument was erected in a pseudo–Russian style.

The building consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. A three-tiered bell tower is built above the vestibule: an octagon on a quad. The refectory is covered with a gable roof. An octagonal light drum is built over the main volume, which is covered with a multi-faceted tent with a small bulb.

The interior features an iconostasis and icons from the 19th century: "Pantokrator the Savior", "Our Lady of Odigitriya", "Trinity of the New Testament", "Saint Paul", Our Lady with Child", "John Chrysostom", "Nativity of the Virgin", "Descent from the Cross", "Basil the Great" and others.

During the Great Patriotic War, German soldiers lived in the church. After the war, the church was not closed in Soviet times. The building was renovated in the 1980s. In 2000, two old bells were repaired and a new one was purchased.
