Losk. Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

In the very center of the village of Losk, between Castle Hill and the Orthodox Church of St. George, there is the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The first church in gloss is mentioned in written sources back in the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In 1493, the owner of the Losk village, Anna Koributovna, financed the Catholic church of the Body of God and Saints Peter and Anna. In the 16th century, the town was owned by the Kishka magnates, who were supporters of Protestantism. According to the documents, in 1559, the Catholic parish and the church owned 15 families of peasants in Losk.

In 1921, after the Treaty of Riga, this region found itself in the Polish state.

During the Polish period, in 1930, a new Catholic church was built here, which was consecrated in honor of the Most Holy Heart of Jesus. The temple was built near the main street in the center of the town on a hill.

The building was built in the traditions of the Belarusian national wooden architecture from wooden beams. The plan is rectangular in terms of a log cabin. The building is covered with a gable roof, and above the pentagonal apse there is a hip roof. The main facade previously had 2 towers of two-tiered quatrefoils between which there is a triangular pediment. The building is uninhabited. There are choirs in the interior, which are reached by a staircase.

Several images of the original appearance of the facade of the church have survived to our time.
