The outstanding Belarusian artist Yazep Drozdovich is buried in the village of Liplyany.

Yazep Narcizovich Drozdovich (October 13, 1888 – September 15, 1954) left a bright mark in history as a multifaceted talent. He is remembered as an artist (in painting and graphics), a teacher, an archaeologist, a writer, an ethnographer, a connoisseur of folklore and an enthusiastic researcher of theoretical astronomy.

Drozdovich illustrated books, created a series of drawings depicting architectural monuments, and conveyed the beauty of Belarusian nature in graphic works. In the 1920s, traveling around Belarus, he began to create the so-called "malyavany dyvany" – hand-drawn carpets.

The death of the artist was sad. The peasants found the unconscious "Uncle Yazep" on the road. He was taken to the Podsvil hospital, where he died shortly after. He was buried in the village of Liplyany, Glubokoe district.

In 1982, a memorial stone with his bas-relief was erected on the grave of the artist.

It is known that in the city of Glubokoe, the name of Yazep Drozdovich was given to a children's art school and one of the streets.

The Art and Ethnographic Museum named after Ya. N. Drozdovich is located in the agro-town of Germanovichi, Sharkovshchina district. Two halls on the second floor are dedicated to the life and work of a significant figure of Yazep Drozdovich in the Belarusian culture. The museum presents his 14 original paintings, including graphic works, paintings. The paintings are dedicated to the past of Belarus, while other works depict fantastic landscapes, reflecting the eternal questions of good and evil, life and death.
