Lipichanskaya Pushcha is a great place for outdoor recreation.
The development of tourism in Lipichanskaya Pushcha is based on three areas: ecology, history and active tourism. The main highlight is kayaking along the Schara River because of its fast current, a large number of turns, and the wildlife along the shores.
Routes of varying complexity and duration have been developed for tourists. It is enough for parents with children to swim for a couple of hours, and some stay for several days and swim the distance from Slonim to the confluence of the Schara with the Neman.
The only Belarusian floodplain oak forest with an area of 34 hectares is located near the village of Stukaly. The symbols of the Belarusian land are 300 years old here. A white fir grows in the forest - this is the rarest tree in Belarus, the legacy of the princes of Chetvertinsky, who owned these lands more than 100 years ago. And the hundred-year-old white fir has only recently produced its first seedlings. There are already more than a hundred small trees.
All tourists should definitely visit Bald Mountain. This is the high bank of the Neman River, offering a picturesque view of the river. The height of the mountain is 142 m and the cliff is 20 m high. This place is perfect for photo shoots. Artists often come here to paint their paintings, and there are regular guests.
Another popular service in Lipichanskaya Pushcha is tourist parking. Clearings in the forest on the banks of the river Shchara, where you can hide from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend your vacation ideally. There are 13 such places in the forest. The grass is mown in the parking lots, there are gazebos, piers, a fire pit and even a place for a field bath, firewood is brought. They are planning to build summer houses for those who do not like living in tents, and there is also a demand for recreation in the village.
The organizers of the tourist routes also suggest visiting the memorial to the victims of the Great Patriotic War in the village of Shimki, opened here in 1983. Nearby there is a partisan dugout, inside which personal belongings and household items, photographs of local partisans are collected. They were handed over to the museum by local residents. There are millstones used to grind flour, a wooden sauerkraut, an iron and a unique exhibit for Belarus - a straw beehive, which is more than 100 years old.
They also offer to enjoy picking mushrooms, of which there are simply countless. Tourists collect fifty porcini mushrooms in one small patch.
Once there was a church on the shore of the Shchara River, but during the war in 1942 the Germans burned it down and killed the priest. Time passed, and at this point the krinitsa began to beat. People considered this a good sign and set up a baptismal font and a crinice. Not only locals, but also tourists come here to get water. A tourist from Lithuania who works at the museum said that Lithuania has preserved the seal of this church.
The reserve has now prepared a project for the construction of a chapel on the site of the former church. It is also planned to open a visitor center for tourists in the near future, where people will be able to get useful information and stay overnight. Apitherapy will also open - guests will be able to enjoy herbal teas. There is also a demand for sapboards.
30 species of mammals are registered within the boundaries of the reserve. Foxes, lynxes, and wolves are found in the forests, but the symbol of Lipichanskaya Pushcha is considered to be a small animal of the rodent group - the dormouse.
Lipichanskaya Pushcha has all the prerequisites to receive the status of a National Park. This is not only a unique place, but also many rare species of animals and plants.
