The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in the agricultural town of Kurenets is an architectural monument made in the retrospective Russian style.

Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in the agro-town Kurenets is an architectural monument of the pseudo-Russian (retrospectively Russian) style and was built in the second half of the 19th century. Construction began in 1866, and in 1870 the church was consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The temple was built of brick. The composition of the temple consists of a belfry, a prayer hall, a refectory and a pentagonal apse in the form of a semicircular projection. The building has a vestibule and an octagonal belfry.

The main and side entrances are decorated with arched portals - semicircular portals with multi-layered arches. The central parts of the side facades are highlighted by shields with arched belts. The windows are narrow and semi-circular. The walls are decorated with profiled belts, multi-layered cornices, and corner blades.

In 1915, a stable for horses was set up in the Kurenets Church. In 1925, a fire broke out, during which the church bell cracked.

After the Great Patriotic War in the 1960s, the church was closed by the Soviet authorities. Church utensils and icons were removed. A storage facility for grain, flour, and fertilizers was set up here. This led to severe damage to the temple.

In the late 1970s, a fire damaged the walls of the temple and the remaining roof. In the 1990s, the church was returned to the faithful, restored and is now operational.
