The Museum of Local Lore.
The museum includes the following halls: ecological, archaeological, entographic, military, modern, exhibition. The museum has 34 collections.
In the ecological hall, visitors are introduced to the nature of the Krupki region. The diorama "My sweet land", painted by the artist V. Kovshirko, fully reflects the uniqueness and uniqueness of the nature of Krupki land. Here you can learn about the honorary citizens of the district and significant events in the spiritual and cultural life of the city.
The next hall is the archaeological one. Here you can get acquainted with the Vyspianskaya mountain, which is the site of an ancient settlement of people 5-3 thousand years before our era. Some of the objects found there are museum exhibits. These are weights, amulets made of animal bones and ribs, slag from furnaces, fragments of a treasure trove of bronze and silver jewelry found in 2003. The treasure includes silver rings, bronze rings from a head wreath, and bracelets.
The visitors' favorite room is the entographic one. Entering here, we find ourselves in a Belarusian hut, the central place in which is occupied by a stove. Nearby there are cast iron pots, grippers, churns, mortars, irons, clothes from the old days. A special place is occupied by embroidered towels. A distinctive feature of embroidery of Krupki region towels is Bereginya, a mother or grandmother who always cares and is always warm and cozy around her.
After passing through the entography room, we enter a modern room. The hall is divided into several sections. There is a separate section called "The motherland gave wings", which introduces visitors to the life and work of three-time Hero of the Soviet Union cosmonaut V. V. Kovalenko. His flight suit, training suit, tunic and cap of the famous countryman are donated to the museum here. There is a stand next to the poets - countrymen of Krupki region and their famous works.
The next room where visitors find themselves is a military one. The central place is occupied by the diorama "The Battle of the Bobr Bridge", where the heaviest battles took place during operation 'Bagration' in June 1944. Nearby there is a memorial complex, where a section of the front line with military equipment from the time of the war has been recreated among the century-old pines. The museum staff organizes field trips here. The last page of the war room is "Afghanistan in my destiny". 131 villagers passed through the roads of Afghanistan, seven of them died. In this section of the hall there is a stand with photographs and personal belongings of international soldiers.
The expositions in the latest modern hall change every month. Here you can see exhibits from the museum's collection and private collections, works by famous Belarusian artists. In summer, guided tours are held in the cozy courtyard of the museum, where guides tell about the unique cult stones located in the courtyard - the "God's Chair" and the "King Toad".
There is a garden of wooden sculptures on the courtyard. Here you can find out the legend of the mysterious Selyavitsa with a flower in her hand.
The museum also has its own long-standing tradition, which is loved by visitors. In order to express your respect for the museum and make a secret wish, you need to get a colored ribbon from a clay pot, one of the four elements of nature, and hang it on a branch of the museum's beautiful birch tree by the well.
The Krupki Museum of Local Lore employs real professionals and people who love their city dearly. The tours are packed with interesting facts and stories.
