Lake Beloe-Yukhovskoe.

Beloe‑Yukhovskoe Lake is one of the natural gems of the Rossony district and the entire Krasny Bor Nature Reserve. The reservoir with an area of about 301 hectares is located three kilometers from the village of Lisno, among hilly forests, where there are no villages, cottages, or large recreation centers. This is a rare corner of almost untouched nature, where a person is left alone with water, pine air and silence.

The shores of the lake are diverse: the southern and western sides rise in steep hills up to 20-30 meters, sometimes forming real cliffs. The eastern and northern shores, on the contrary, are low and swampy, overgrown with shrubs and pine trees. This combination of reliefs creates expressive panoramas, especially in the area of the village of Zaluzhye, where there is a tourist parking lot with a gazebo on top of the hill. This place is called the "Sunrise Theater" — it offers impressive sunrises over the water and views of Krasnoborskaya Pushcha.

The lake is shallow: the maximum depth is just over 7 meters. There is a sandy bottom near the shore, convenient for swimming, especially with children. Then the sand is replaced by silt and deposits of sapropel, a valuable natural fertilizer. The water in the lake is characterized by high transparency and an unusual bluish‑green hue. Locals have long considered it curative: according to legend, wounds healed faster in it, and the fish from here was considered the most delicious in the area. There is no scientific evidence for this, but the purity of the water is really high — the rare plant lobelia Dortman, listed in the Red Book of Belarus, grows in the lake. It is found only in reservoirs with an ideal ecology.

Beloe‑Yukhovskoe is a paradise for fishermen. Rudd, roach, tench, bream, perch, pike, walleye, ide, crucian carp, as well as the rarer catfish, rapeseed and burbot are found here. Commercial fishing is also underway, which indicates a high number of fish. Fishing is allowed for free, and there are convenient fishing spots both from the shore and from small piers that are found in equipped parking lots.

For tourists, the lake is attractive not only for fishing. The Krasny Bor Nature Reserve is home to red deer, moose and bison; in early autumn, you can hear the trumpeting voices of males during the rut. Bird lovers will be pleased to meet great white heron, gogol, wriggly warbler and other rare species. In summer, swans can often be seen on the lake, which swim close to the shore and sometimes take food from their hands.

Despite the remoteness, the infrastructure here is well thought out. The Krasny Bor hunting farm has equipped free tourist parking lots: gazebos, campfires, barbecues, toilets, firewood, and sometimes even baths and canopies. This makes your vacation comfortable even for large companies. However, it is important to remember that the lake is located on the territory of the reserve, so tents and bonfires are allowed only in eight specially equipped places.

There are several ways to get to the lake, but they all include sections of gravel and forest roads. A navigator is required: there are many forks in the forest that can lead to logging or dead ends. But those who arrive receive a reward — spacious parking lots, clean water, a sandy bottom and a feeling of complete freedom.

Lake Beloe‑Yukhovskoe is an ideal place for those who are looking for peace, nature and relaxation without fuss. Here you can swim, fish, pick berries and mushrooms, meet the sunrises on the hills and enjoy the rare atmosphere of the wild but accessible lake district in Belarus.
