Krasnaya Zvezda. The Radziwillimonty. Radziwill Manor.
There is a place in the Kletsk district with an interesting name Krasnaya Zvezda (Red Star). Before Soviet times, the place had the ancient name Radziwillimonty, and the estate of the Radziwill magnates was located here. In 1579, the Kletsk Ordination was established. Radziwillimonty became the administrative center of the ordination.
The first manor house in the village in the 18th century was built in the Renaissance style. A wooden palace was erected, and a regular park was built next to it. Then, in the 18th century, a Baroque palace was built. The building was wooden and small, with 6 rooms. There were numerous outbuildings, a distillery, a hayloft, a threshing floor, a cheese factory and other buildings.
In the 1780s, the Italian architect Carlo Spampani built a Classical-style palace for Jozef Radziwill. There were two one-story wooden wings, a park, stone gates and outbuildings: a mill, a windmill, a brewery and a stable.
In the middle of the 19th century, the estate belonged to the Russian Wittgenstein family. Then the estate again passed to the Radziwills until 1939. In Soviet times, the palace and the estate fell into disrepair.
The ruins of the palace, which are surrounded by a fence, a stone distillery and several farm buildings with a park and a pond have been preserved to our time.
