Korolishchevichi. The Church of the Mother of God's Guardianship.

In the village of Korolishchevichi, Minsk region, an ancient wooden church of the Mother of God has been preserved. Korolishchevichi is located near Minsk on MKAD-2 in the direction of Gomel, and therefore it is very easy to get here.

The place was first mentioned in the 16th century during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, when it was part of the Minsk district of the Minsk Voivodeship. In the documents of 1582, it is part of the Gatovo estate and belonged to Y. Masalsky and P. Krushinsky. In 1597 it belonged to Tyshkevich, Masalsky and Krushinsky. In 1667, the estate belongs to Prince F. To Drutsky – Gorsky.

In 1778, there were two cheese factories in Karolishevichi, a farmyard and a church. In those days it was I. Prushinsky's property.

The Catholic wooden church was built during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1785 at the expense of Stanislav Prushinsky. In the following years, the temple was repaired and inspected by representatives of the Prushinsky family.

Anna Tsyundevitskaya from the Prushinsky family (1803-1850), a writer and author of popular books on household management, including the book "The Lithuanian Housewife", was most likely baptized in the church. The famous Belarusian poet Joseph Puscha (1902-1964) was also baptized here.

There is a version that in 1873 Polish and Russian artist Henry Semiradsky and Maria Prushinskaya were married in the church. In the 1860s, the famous Belarusian and Polish composer Stanislav Monyushko visited the church.

After the revolution in Soviet times, the church was closed and the building was rebuilt as a club. Most recently, the building was handed over to the Catholic faithful, and in 2014 the first service was held here.

The church is a wooden rectangular building in plan. The facade is crazy. Before the revolution, there was one small multi-faceted tower above the facade.
