Koptevka. Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The stone Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the stone Orthodox Church of the Holy Dormition were built in the Grodno region in the village of Koptevka. After the Peace of Riga in 1921, the town became part of the Polish state until 1939.
In January 1936, it was decided to build a Catholic church in Koptevka. In April 1936, Metropolitan Romuald Elbzhikovsky of Vilno consecrated the site of the future temple. In the summer of the same year, a parish was officially established in the village.
In September 1939, the Plebani building was completed. Almost all of the church buildings had been erected-all that remained was to cover the building with a roof. But with the outbreak of the war and the advent of Soviet power, the work was stopped. The Plebani building was taken over by the new authorities as an outpatient clinic.
After the Great Patriotic War, a warehouse was created in the church premises, and then a mill was built. At the end of the Soviet Union, the church was returned to the Catholic faithful. In the summer of 1991, the first service was held in the church. In 1995, the church was consecrated again.
In the spring of 1997, the bell with the name "Maria" was consecrated. The Catholics of Poland provided great help in the revival of the church. The organ was donated by the parish of St. Barbara in Warsaw. In 2000, the relics of St. Victoria and St. Marcella were embedded in the main altar.
