Convelishki. The Church of the Heart of Jesus.

The church was built in the period 1916-1925 on the site of the church that was originally located here and is characterized by characteristic elements and features for wooden architecture. Its facade is decorated with high arched windows and artistically decorated doors, which gives the building a special charm. The interior of the temple is simple and cozy, which creates an atmosphere of peace and prayer.

It is known that during the war Konvelishki was under German occupation. And this amazing church miraculously survived and did not burn down during the war years, unlike many other churches.

Today, this architectural monument has been restored and looks neat and impeccable. Special attention should be paid to the altar, where valuable liturgical objects and icons of historical and spiritual value are kept. The interior of the church is decorated with beautiful altars, frescoes and carvings.

The Church of the Heart of Jesus is actively involved in the life of the local community, holding regular divine services and various church events.

   In addition to the church, there is also an interesting brick-lined brama of the early 20th century with one central entrance and two wrought-iron gates on the sides. Not far from the church there is an old cemetery dating from the late 19th – early 20th century, which should also be visited if desired.

The location of the Convels in a picturesque corner of the Grodno region makes this temple not only a religious center, but also an attractive place for tourists. The territories adjacent to the church, surrounded by greenery and nature, create ideal conditions for solitude and reflection.
