The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Konstantinovo.

The temple building was built in 1896 and is made in the neoclassical style. Clear and simple lines, a gable roof and a high turret create its striking appearance.

The church is surrounded by a stone fence, and a three-leaf gate in the form of a rectangle organically complements the architectural ensemble. The interior space is divided into several zones thanks to the elegant brick columns. They look elegant thanks to the elaborate plaster, which gives them an austere look.

The abundance of wooden carvings is also surprising, the skill of an unknown carver has created a spectacular design, as if the church is clad in exquisite lace.

In the interior, it is worth noting the ancient organ, which, combined with the altar part with the image of the Virgin Mary and the wooden pulpit, forms a recognizable atmosphere of religious space.

The history of the church is inextricably linked with the village where it is located. In the 18th century, the land was acquired by Konstantin Khominsky, who renamed the village Slobodka in his honor. He did a lot for the development of the region, including the construction of a Catholic church, which was originally just a chapel. A full-fledged wooden church appeared in 1793, but has not been preserved. The temple burned down during the Napoleonic Wars, and the surviving chapel was dismantled in the 19th century. František Pashkevich started rebuilding, they started building a new stone church, which was completed by his descendants at the end of the century.

Next to the church there is a wooden plebania and a modern building, opened in 1997.

The church, despite the political changes, continued to exist and serve the parishioners, retaining its importance as a religious center.

Today it acts, welcoming not only Catholics, but also all those who are interested in the history and culture of Belarus.
