Museum of military history.
The first exposition of the museum was opened in 1948 in the house presented to the commander by the Russian Empress Catherine II as part of the Kobrinsky Klyuch estate. The museum exposition changed periodically. The latest exposition, "A.V. Suvorov's House", opened in 2016, presents rare antique collections of uniforms, bladed weapons, furniture and household items of the 18th century. It is noteworthy that the expositions use authentic items and historical documents. Here you can see items belonging to Emperors Peter III and Paul I, portraits of the 18th century. During the tour of the museum, we have an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with facts from the life of the commander, learn his role in the history of Belarus and the Kobrin land in particular.
In 1995, a new red brick museum building was built and opened nearby, where the second part of the exhibition was arranged - "Seven Centuries of Kobrin", dedicated to the military history of the city. Exhibits from different eras are presented here: from the 13th to the 20th century. We have the opportunity to see original collections of weapons from the 16th-18th centuries, uniforms from the 18th - 19th centuries, unique collections of numismatics, historical photographs, unique household items.
The museum is very rich in ancient and unique items. The museum exhibits are interesting, the expositions are richly filled and allow us to touch upon ancient historical events.
The museum also regularly hosts temporary exhibitions on historical and local history topics.
