Spassky Convent.

Initially, the Monastery was male and was located on the territory of the Upper Castle. There is an assumption that the main founders and builders of the monastery were the Gediminids, who had the rights to the Kobrin Principality since the 14th century. The names of representatives of this family are still mentioned in church services.

After the line of princes Kobrinsky died out, the monastery was governed by appointed abbots, secular patrons and gradually fell into decline.

The fire of 1895 and the wars of the early 20th century almost completely destroyed the monastery buildings, leaving only a half-ruined cell block. In the early 1920s, with the permission of the Polish administration, the monastery was restored, during which a significant redesign of the interior took place. During the work, the remains of the burial of the Kobrin prince were found, as well as niches with walled-up skeletons.

From 1923 to 1939, the monastery building housed the district court, from 1939 to 1962 – the city public utilities authorities, and from 1962 to 2010 – the Kobrin Department of Internal Affairs.

In September 2009, the Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk, having visited the monastery territory, blessed the revival of the ancient monastery of the All-Merciful Savior in Kobrin. Since 2010, the monastery has been operating as a women's Orthodox monastery. All buildings have been restored, a major overhaul of the historical building has been carried out, and all communications have been installed.

The monastery has Sunday schools for children and adults. Here is kept such a sacred relic as a copy of the icon of the Mother of God "Quick to Hear", the original of which is kept in the monastery on Mount Athos.

Today, on the monastery grounds we see a two-story monastery building that has survived to this day. It occupies a central place here and is a monument of 17th-century Baroque architecture.

The place itself is amazing. The territory is beautiful, clean, very well-kept and spiritual. In the monastery garden we see decorative apple trees with paradise apples as a reminder to us that the paradise apple is the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Christian tradition. There is a cage with cute squirrels, which the children really enjoyed watching.

Next to the fence, a new brick church in the name of the All-Merciful Savior is being built, the design of which was developed by order of the Spassky Monastery.
